Cheap Trick's new album, "Cheap Trick," and their first single from the album, "Say Goodbye," were released from Victor Entertainment, Inc. in Japan on Feb. 14 and Feb. 21, 1997, respectively.
The Japanese version CD, whose product code is VICP-5828, includes two bonus tracks and is priced at 2,500 yen (about $21) including tax. "Say Goodbye" CD single's price and item number are 930 yen (including tax, about $7.5) and VIDP-75, respectively.
Ian Taylor co-produced the new album with Cheap Trick, and the U.S. version was released on Cheap Trick's own label, Cheap Trick Records, and distributed through Red Ant Records. The long-awaited U.S. version CD went on sale Apr. 29, and the first 75,000 copies are said to include a "Baby Talk/Brontosaurus" bonus CD and poster of the cover artwork. The cover of the U.S. version CD is different from the Japanese one, by the way.

If you love to hear Cheap Trick play live, you will love the new album. It's loud, it's raw, and it really ROCKS!! I had always wanted the band to produce their album themselves before the new album was out, and I'm so glad that turned out even more nicely than I expected.
